Our Story
Mi Casa stands as a beacon of Mexican culinary excellence in Ossian, Indiana, and its neighboring communities, proudly serving since 2014. Renowned for our unparalleled catering services, signature drinks, and the irresistible allure of our Taco Tuesday specials, we invite patrons to savor the vibrant flavors of Mexico in every bite. Nestled amidst the charming streets, our establishment offers an inviting outdoor patio, where guests can bask in the warmth of the sun while indulging in the rich tapestry of Mexican cuisine. Whether seeking a lively fiesta with friends or a tranquil retreat for a solo meal, Mi Casa promises an unforgettable dining experience steeped in tradition and hospitality.
Founded in 2014, Mi Casa is a labor of love for the family trio of Heather, Jason, and Kaylee, who proudly own and operate the establishment. Kaylee, the daughter, is not only an integral part of the business but has also grown up amidst the bustling atmosphere of the restaurant, imbibing its spirit and ethos from a tender age. With a shared dream of owning their own restaurant, Heather, Jason, and Kaylee embarked on this journey together, fueled by passion and dedication. Heather's unwavering presence since day one serves as a testament to their commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. Together, they infuse Mi Casa with a familiar warmth and authenticity that keeps patrons coming back for more.
Mi Casa bears its name as a reflection of our deeply held belief that everyone who walks through our doors becomes a part of our extended family. "Mi casa" translates to "my house" or "my home" in Spanish, embodying our desire to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere where guests feel as comfortable as they would in their own homes. Whether it's the warm smiles of our staff, the inviting ambiance of our dining space, or the familiar flavors of our cuisine, we strive to evoke a sense of belonging and connection with every visit. At Mi Casa, we want people to not only enjoy delicious food but also to feel embraced by the warmth and hospitality that define our establishment.
At Mi Casa, the atmosphere is as inviting as a gathering of old friends on a perfect summer evening, especially with our charming outdoor patio adding to the allure. We take pride in treating each and every guest like a member of our extended family, ensuring a warm and friendly experience from the moment they step through our doors. Our commitment to building genuine connections means that we not only serve delicious food but also take the time to engage with our clients, getting to know them on a personal level and fostering lasting friendships along the way. This is as close to California style taqueria taste as I've found, outside of CA. Incredible service, price and food. Driving by, driving close, or even just wanting to take a trip, it's worth it!!!

This is good food for a small town. It is usually pretty busy. Staff is nice also. It's a good Tex mex food assortment.

had this to say:
Our server, bus girl and hostess were all super friendly and helpful even though they were all crazy busy. They wete patient and kind despite the heavy crowd . The food was all amazing, (carnitas entree, guacamole casero, chips and salsa, arroz con pollo and fajitas enchilada. The cocktails were excellent as well. Water glasses and corn chips refilled promptly. Couldn’t have asked for a more pleasant dinner. And very reasonably priced for all we got! I will always eat here when back in town from Michigan and maybe 2-3 times every week! I would rate this as one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve ever had.
